Archeologists Find Ancient Ship Pharaoh Year 4500

Archaeologists began digging 4,500 years of wooden ship was found near the Great Pyramid of Giza. The ship is believed to bring the pharaoh Khufu to the afterlife.


The ship is believed to be the bearer of Pharaoh Khufu indigenous religion into the afterlife. Khufu is also known as Cheops is credited as the builder of the Great Pyramid of Giza. Sakuji Yoshimura restoration project leader of Wasela University said, one of the ships of the two ships were found bearing the name of Khufu.

Khufu was the founder of the fourth dynasty in 2680 BC and became the leader of Egypt for 23 years. Egyptian Minister of Antiquities, Zahi Hawass acknowledges the excavation of this 'one of the most important archaeological projects and conservation of the world'.

The ship was originally discovered in 1954 along with another vessel which was then restored and is considered one of the major findings on the Giza plateau. Experts acknowledge this ship as the oldest ship that could survive until now.

After the excavation is completed, scientists will make this ship a computer scheme to help its reconstruction. Restoration of these findings are expected to take four years. Once completed, as reported by Fox News, the ship will be on display at Solar Boar Museum near the Pyramids of Giza.
